Hi-Torque Starter Motor, 122/130 Tooth Ring Gear, 10 Tooth Pinion

High quality Denso performance 1.4KW/1.9HP 10-tooth pinion starter motor to suit 122 or 130 tooth ring gear fitted to various Slant 6 225 & Small Block 273, 318, 340 & 360 engines. With a Denso motor & a 4.4:1 gear reduction ratio, these are an ideal replacement/upgrade from your original with cranking power for engines up to 18.0:1 compression. Although physically different from the factory original Bosch starter motors at half the size, these units have a higher torque output (200 ft/lbs) with less current draw meaning which means less power draw from your battery on startup. It's also a lot easier to fit extractors/headers with this compact unit.

Please note: Prior to purchasing, please physically count the number of teeth on the ring gear/flywheel, not the starter motor pinion gear! The gears on these hi-torque starter motors are cut, are in a different position than the original gear & mesh differently with flywheel/ring gear so please confirm 122 or 130 tooth count on your ring gear/flywheel before purchasing as there are 2x options that we stock.
