High quality EngineWorks complete electronic distributor conversion kit to suit all models running a Small Block 273, 318, 340 or 360 engine. This kit is an ideal modification from the factory points ignition or upgrade from the factory electronic system & comes complete with new distributor with built-in module, factory canister style electronic ignition coil (0.8ohm), mounting bracket & ballast resistor bypass joiners.
These distributors are based off a Ford Falcon distributor from the same era & run a Bosch copy female distributor cap along with rotor & module in which future replacement parts are easy to obtain from us or your local auto parts store. With the distributor cap & canister coil being black, this also keeps the original factory look. You don't need to upgrade leads or spark plugs however we do stock these, if required.
Please note: This is a "plug 'n play/ready to run" kit in which the original ballast resistor needs to be bypassed so that a constant 12V is running to the new ignition coil. You must fit & run the ignition coil we supply. There will be no warranty on failure to either the coil or distributor if the ballast resistor has not been bypassed!
Please note: If possible, please use the existing hold-down clamp off your original distributor.
