Premium Remy "birdcage" externally regulated 55A single pulley/single field alternator. Professionally remanufactured, these have high quality Denso internals & although larger & different looking than the original email alternators, these are a direct replacement on RV1-CM models fitted with a Slant 6 225 or Small Block 273, 318, 340 or 360 engine. These will clear factory Carter fuel pumps but may interfere with aftermarket electric pumps. A shorter or larger drivebelt may be required also, depending on application.
They can be retro-fitted to suit Hemi 6 215, 245 & 265 engines however the alternator bracket will need to be modified/adjusted & a shorter or longer drivebelt will be required.
